HID Global Wins Award for Deployment of Its Cloud-based ID Personalization and Issuance Solution at Kent State University

AUSTIN, Texas, November 13, 2017 – HID Global, a worldwide leader in trusted identity solutions, today announced it has won the 2017 SSI Security Solutions award for the successful deployment of its new HID FARGO Connect offering at Kent State University. The new cloud-based ID personalization and issuance solution has dramatically simplified and forever changed how the university manages its high-volume ID card issuance requirements.

“HID FARGO Connect helps campus card offices easily manage the unique demands of issuing thousands of student IDs that are used for everything from paying for campus services and meals to checking out library books. HID FARGO Connect also fits well into university initiatives around providing a better experience to students, especially during peak periods when waiting in long lines for their IDs had become the norm,” said Craig Sandness, Vice President and Managing Director of Secure Issuance with HID Global.

HID’s industry-first solution makes it possible for Kent State University to now securely issue student ID cards from anywhere using any device that has a web browser. No longer must the university send students to a separate location to take their photo and receive their student IDs.  Today, the university simply uses an Apple iPad tablet to quickly snap student photographs and issue their ID cards right away, eliminating the need for students to wait for their IDs.

“We are honored that Kent State University is being recognized as an innovator in the use of technology to advance education,” said Michael O’Karma, Office Systems Coordinator for Flashcard Operations, Kent State University.  “At Kent State, we are committed to providing excellent student experiences, and new cloud-based solutions from a trusted identity technology leader like HID Global helps us to do exactly that.”

The Security Sales and Integrator Magazine Security Solutions Awards program salutes proven security product deployments in access, fire/life safety, home controls, intrusion, monitoring, surveillance and other security products and solutions.

Jolly Tech Troubleshooting

If you are experiencing a problem with your installation of Jolly software, review the following solutions to see if they may resolve your issue.

License Key / Registration
If you are prompted to enter your license key every time you start Jolly software, your logon user account most likely does not have sufficient privileges. Try the following: Log in as Administrator, run the Jolly software again, then enter the license key. You should no longer be prompted for the key, regardless of what user you log in as.

Transferring software to new PC
In order to move your license from 1 PC to another, back up your templates and data. Then uninstall ID Flow from Jolly/Help/Activation and follow the prompts.

DO NOT UNINSTALL via Windows/Uninstall Program. You need to use ID Flow in order to get the required Hardware ID & Deactivation Code.

Once uninstalled, you can reinstall by right clicking on the file and running as administrator.
